Polo Office Restructure

8th February 2018Dear Playing Member,   The Polo Club Office – Reorganisation for 2018 I am writing ahead of my usual start of the season letter as there have been a number of changes within our Polo Office that you should be aware of. Over the winter months we have conducted a full review of the office organisation and structure.  Your Board has now concluded that a number of organisational changes need to be made to make cost savings and bring stronger leadership to the Club. The key changes are that the following positions will cease to exist with immediate effect: Assistant Polo Manager, andSponsorship, Events and Office Manager As a result, Kim Croutear and Gemma Potter are in the process of being made redundant. Tim Keyte will remain as Polo Manager and in addition we will be creating the new roles of Chief Executive Officer and Administrative Assistant. The new structure is intended to provide stronger leadership, to respond to the changing environment in which the Club operates. With Tim Keyte still at the helm as Polo Manger, his wise counsel and leadership will provide essential stability during this period of change.  Any issues should be referred to Tim and I would ask you all for a degree of patience as the new team beds in. After 6 great years both Gemma and Kim will be leaving the club.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank them both for all their hard work and commitment to Cirencester Park Polo Club. They have brought energy, enthusiasm and innovation throughout all aspects of the Club, which is greatly appreciated and I hope all our members, clients and suppliers will join the Board in thanking them and wishing them well. Subscriptions and Other Matters For 2018 we have managed to hold down the increase in our membership and tournament entry fees to 5% across all categories.  I hope you will appreciate this is important if we are to ensure the long term financial viability of our club.  Any playing member who pays in full by the 31st March 2018 will benefit from being able to re-join at the 2017 price level.  Please use the link to the club website to access the membership form and submit it to the office before the above date. We have a full season of polo planned which will take advantage of our newly irrigated fields.  This year we will also be hosting the Polo Ball on Saturday 12th May and a range of other social activities including our annual Cocktail Party, which has moved to September. I will write to you all again before the start of the season. Once again, I thank you for supporting our wonderful polo club and I want to assure you all that it is business as usual for the 2018 season.  Best wishes for the season ahead.  Mark Booth    Chairman CPPC
